All the Lumber City stores are franchised and individually owned and this gives the owners the freedom to express their own unique trading style and adapt their product lines to suit their area.
Lumber City started some 30 years ago and sold predominantly building materials. About 22 years ago this small group added board products, such as chipboard (particle board), MDF (Supawood), hardboard, ply's, etc. to their product range.
Today most Lumber City's specializes in board products, but in some areas, some Lumber City branches still trade with building materials very successfully.
